It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.
We live in a great time. The culture is changing at a rapid pace. This is the time of the information highway. With personal computers, both PC and Mac, everything is now at our fingertips. We have fax machines, cell phones, iPods, Treos, and Blackberries. We can email and instant message. We can dictate into a microphone and it appears on the computer screen. We can talk to someone across the world on our computers and both people can see each other. We can talk into a telephone in English and it can come out the other side in Japanese or any other foreign language.
The world has shrunk. We are all in a great position to understand, appreciate, and accept the differences and uniqueness of each other.
We live in a sad time. Mankind is methodically destroying his environment. The rain forests are disappearing, and 100 species are becoming extinct every day. The CO2 layer is increasing at such a rapid pace that in 50 years the ice cap will be melted, the oceans will rise, Florida will be under water, and millions of people will be killed or displaced. We are in a war in Iraq that drains our human and economic resources and appears to be unending.
We need to end all senseless fighting, unite as a world people, and fight the real enemy – US. When I say US, I mean all the people in the world, of all races, colors and creeds. Al Gore says that if we join together now, we can save the world and ourselves. Let’s do it. Take action. Tell a friend and each of us do what we can.
The way this all relates to hypnosis is that hypnotists are the leaders in positive thinking. We need to be realistic, but also positive and active. See you all in October.
Hypnosis helps, and we need to help hypnosis.
Sincerely,
Walter E. Brackelmanns, M.D.
